Privacy Policy

CutCut Twitch Highlights (“CutCut”) is a desktop application that runs on your own Windows computer. It has no servers and no user accounts of its own. The developer of CutCut does not receive, collect or store any of your data.

Data CutCut accesses

When you connect a TikTok account, CutCut receives from TikTok:

• your basic profile: open ID, display name and avatar;
• the list of your videos: title, description, creation time, link, and view, like, comment and share counts.

When you connect a YouTube channel, CutCut receives from Google:

• the channel ID, title, handle and avatar;
• view, like and comment counts of videos you published from CutCut;
• audience retention of those videos: which share of viewers is still watching at each point of the video.
• The scopes CutCut requests are youtube.upload (upload videos to your channel and set their thumbnails), youtube.readonly (read your channel and the statistics of those videos) and yt-analytics.readonly (read the audience retention of those videos). CutCut uses no other YouTube API Services data.

CutCut also receives access tokens that allow it to act on your behalf within the permissions you granted.

How the data is used

• To show which accounts are connected.
• To upload and publish the videos you choose, with the title, description and privacy setting you choose.
• To show statistics of the videos you published from CutCut, including where viewers stop watching.

The data is not used for advertising, is not sold and is not shared with anyone. CutCut contains no analytics or tracking.

Where the data is stored

Everything stays on your computer, in the CutCut data folder. Access tokens are encrypted with Windows Data Protection (DPAPI), so they can only be decrypted by your Windows user account. The only network requests CutCut makes with this data go directly to TikTok and Google to perform the actions described above.

Retention and deletion

• Removing an account in CutCut (Accounts → Remove) deletes its tokens from your computer.
• Statistics of published videos stay in your local library on your computer until you delete the CutCut data folder.
• You can revoke CutCut's access at any time: in TikTok under Settings and privacy → Security → Manage app permissions, and in Google at myaccount.google.com/connections.

Google and YouTube

CutCut uses YouTube API Services. By connecting a YouTube channel you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service; Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. CutCut's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

TikTok

TikTok's handling of your data is described in the TikTok Privacy Policy.

Children

CutCut is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly process their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
